A lifetime resident of Springfield, Mr. Anders was a truck driver for Poston Brick Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1973. Surviving are his wife, Doris; five daughters, Mrs. James (Jean) Lewis, Janice and Jeanette Anders, Mrs. Eldon (Carolyn) Golden and Mrs. Paul (Sharon) Berry, all of Springfield; three sons, James Anders Jr. of Springfield, Kenneth Anders of Mesquite, Texas, and Harvey Anders of Phoenix, Ariz.; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Juanita Burt and Mrs. Alice Nance, both of Springfield; two brothers, Howard "Skeet" Anders and Harvey Anders, both of Springfield; several nieces and nephews.
Services at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mickey Blair officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
