Alta Mae Kretchmar, age 88, of Austin, passed away on August 12, 2010 at the Summit at Westlake Hills in Austin. She was born to Walter and Frieda Benner on March 29, 1922 in Manchaca, Texas.

Alta owned and operated Honda of Austin Motorcycle Sales and Service from 1961 until her retirement in 1985. In her later years, she took several cruises and enjoyed visiting far away and beautiful places, such as Japan, Russia, Europe, and Hawaii.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter Helen Cutler of Buda; son Bobby Kretchmar of Manchaca; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Edward Benner.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2010 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville.
