Beloved wife of Mark Kopf. Cherished daughter of Paul and Heidi Gottfried and daughter-in-law of Rosemary and Edmund Kopf. Dear sister of Eric Gottfried and sister-in-law of Edmund Jr. Kopf (Starr), Heather Bartholomew (James). Loving aunt of Evan and Kayla Bartholomew. Special granddaughter of Mervyn Gottfried and Cecile Charlebois. Niece of Gail and Stephen Gottfried. She will be missed by her many cousins and close friends.
Predeceased by her birth mother Debbie Gottfried, her grandparents Gerard Charlebois and Lorraine Gottfried, and her great-grandmother Emily Lalonde.
She enjoyed her employment in the company of her friends at "Write Impressions". Carolyn recently completed her teacher's certificate at the University of Windsor. She always looked forward to teaching children, and is now teaching them in heaven.
Carolyn's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
Prayers will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 9:20 a.m. followed by procession to St. Anne's RC Church (268 East Avenue, Kitchener) for funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. Fr. Mark Sullivan officiating.
Interment Woodland Cemetery followed by a reception at the church hall.
