William Hart Peck and his wife Temperance joined Tonoloway Church in April of 1890. Will was born the son of Daniel and Ann Hart Peck on May 17, 1853. He married on May 25, 1881, to Temperance Mason, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Mason.

Her Mother was the former Elizabeth Bair of Indian Springs, Maryland, and her father was the son of Reverend Jeremiah and Nancy Jacques Mason of "Castle Howe", near Pecktonville. Rev. Mason, a man of considerable wealth, built three churches. Rev. Mason was the son of John Mason and a brother to Rhoda Hart. William Hart Peck was a merchant at Gem and died there Aug 5, 1930. He was survived by his wife, Temperance Mason Peck, who died December 11, 1933, and two children Lydia or "Lydie", wife of Austin Lynch; and Raymond Peck.
