Her Mother was the former Elizabeth Bair of Indian Springs, Maryland, and her father was the son of Reverend Jeremiah and Nancy Jacques Mason of "Castle Howe", near Pecktonville. Rev. Mason, a man of considerable wealth, built three churches. Rev. Mason was the son of John Mason and a brother to Rhoda Hart. William Hart Peck was a merchant at Gem and died there Aug 5, 1930. He was survived by his wife, Temperance Mason Peck, who died December 11, 1933, and two children Lydia or "Lydie", wife of Austin Lynch; and Raymond Peck.
