Mr. Wigal was born Nov. 10, 1919, at New England Ridge, Wood County, a son of the late Elza D. and Alma (McDougal) Wigal. He retired from E.I. DuPont deNemours in 1978 and was the longtime owner-operator of Wigal's Used Cars and Travel Trailers on Gihon Road. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Mary Amos Wigal; two sons and their wives, James M. and Lee Wigal of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Ronald A. and Sherrell Wigal of Parkersburg; one brother and his wife, Ralph and Juanita Wigal of Athens, Ohio; four grandchildren, Autumn Pintado, Nathan Wigal, Iris Hecock and Sarah Wigal, all of Pittsburgh; three step grandchildren, Jodi Stephens, Stephanie Stull and Richard Nuzum, all of Parkersburg; four great-grandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Marjorie Boggs, Catherine Oldham, Shirley Viers and Nina Harris.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green Street, Parkersburg. Interment will follow at the Lubeck Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to the services Monday at the funeral home.
