Staff Sgt. Michael A. Bock, 26, of Leesburg, Fla., died Aug. 13 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 3rd Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, based at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif. Preceded in death by grandparents, Ralph and Agnes Bock, Eugene and Frances Clifton; uncles, Richard Bock and Raymond Bock. Survived by wife, Tiffany Bock; son, Zander Bock; parents, David and Sandra Bock of Leesburg, FL; sister, Christine Bock of Omaha; brothers: David Bock of Angier, NC, Paul Bock of Peoria, IL; nieces: Allison Bock and Sidney Peterson, both of Omaha; uncle and aunt, Ralph and Virginia Clifton of Crozet, VA; uncle Rodney Clifton of Springfield, NE; aunt, Sandra Bock of Omaha.
