Clara Armstrong
DAYTON (Special) — Mrs.
Clara Armstrong, 84, of
Corvallis. Ore., formerly of
Dayton, died in Corvallis
Sunday.
Mrs. Armstrong was born
Feb. 14, 1885 in Portland, the
daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. John Frick. She came to
Dayton with her family at the
age of five and attended local
schools. In 1908 she married
Grant Armstrong in Dayton.
The couple farmed on the Patit
until Armstrong's death in 1951.
Mrs. Armstrong had spent the
time she was five until three
years ago, when she moved to
Corvallis to be near a daughter,
in Dayton. She was a member of
the Dayton Christian Church.
Surviving Mrs. Armstrong,
are two sons, Dale Armstrong of
"Falls Church, W. Va. and Don
Armstrong of Wellsley Hills,
Mass.; two daughters, Mrs. R.
B. (Nadine) Miles of Seattle and
Mrs. Thomas (Marjorie)
Jackson of Corvallis; three
brothers, Dr. Wesley V. Frick of
Dayton, Dr. Ray W. Frick of
Pomeroy and George Frick of
Grandview, Wash.; and two
sisters, Mrs. Frank Thompson
of Portland and Mrs. Wallace
Larson of Walla Walla. Six
grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren
also survive.
Services will be 11 a.m.
Thursday at the Hubbard-Rogg
chapel with Rev. Earle C.
Miller officiating. Interment
will follow in the family plot of
the Dayton City Cemetery.
