MRS. MARY MILDRED THOMPSON, 76, Rt. 2, Lebanon, died at 10:45 p.m., Jan. 25, at Spring View Hospital. Mrs. Thompson was a native of Marion County and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milburn and Mary Florence Barkley Miles; one sister, Alice Thompson; two brothers, Ruben and Charles Miles. Survivors include: her husband, Alvan Thompson; three daughters, Mrs. Marvin "Angela" Meyerhoffer of Louisville; Mrs. Albert "Kathleen" Smith and Mrs. Lawrence "Aileen" Spalding of Springfield; five sons, Matt of Lexington; Donald of Louisville; Jerry and Edward of Lebanon and Edwin Thompson of Springfield; three sisters, Sister Francis Xavier of Mt. St. Joseph; Mrs. Mary Rita Bickett of Rockford, IL.; and Mrs. Ethel Hicks of Lebanon; 35 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass was conducted at 11 a.m., Jan. 28, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Raywick, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Clarence Schwartz officiated. Active pallbearers were Bill, Steven, Richard, Timmy and Mike Thompson and Dennis Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Brian and Jimmy Thompson. Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of the arrangements.
