Nina Ruth Johnson, 73, of Chattanooga, TN passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010, at her home.

She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and was retired from home health care.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Johnson; daughter, Connie Rector and granddaughter, Kimberly Denise Rector Malone.

Survivors include her children, Beverly Upton and her husband, Rick of Suwanee, GA, Steven Johnson and his wife, Cherie, of East Ridge, TN and Darlene Bono, of Ringgold, GA; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. James Hutchings officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
