He lived most of his life on a ranch near Burton, Nebraska. He was married to Minnie Josiassen in 1905, and to them were born three daughters. She preceded him in death in 1934. In 1941 he was married to Rose Alexander of Burton, and they have made their home in Long Pine until her death in 1966.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Ainsworth. He has made him home at the Bethel Nursing Home the past three and one-half years.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Louis (Frieda) Thiede; Mrs. Gustav (Luella) Schultz, and Mrs. Norman (Thelma) Jung; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
