He was born October 25, 1924 and was a son of the late Harvey and Nancy Jane Jarrell Richmond. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Carson Richmond.
He was a retired coal miner from Armco Coal Company with 30 years of service. He was a WWII Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Quinnie; two sons, Roger and Larry both of Twilight; one sister, Mabel Meadows of Michigan; three grandchildren, Misty Elkins, Travis Richmond and Jessica Richmond; and two nieces, Margaret Holliefield and Melinda Townsend.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 19 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Pastor Dan McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens at Low Gap, Madison, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
