CALLED HOME
Mrs. Mary A. Lee died at Ogden, Utah, Wednesday night, Aug. 16, 1893, of lung trouble, after a sickness of four months. Mrs. Lee was 31 years old, the only daughter of a large family, children of the late James Foulks and wife of English township.
She was raised in Lucas county and married Wm. A. Lee here. He, with three children survive her. They lived in Nebraska several years until about a year ago when Mrs. Lee's failing health necessitated removing to the mountains.
She was a true Christian, and a member of the M. E. church for several years. Mrs. Lee was conscious until death. She called her family about her and bade them goodbye, arranged for burial and said she was ready to go. After commending her children to the to the care of the All Wise Father, she passed peacefully to the other shore.
The body, accompanied by the grief stricken husband and brother, John R. Foulks, arrived here on No. 4 Saturday evening. As the sun was sinking in the west the remains were laid beneath the sod in the family lot at the Chariton cemetery, beside her father, mother and brothers who preceded her to the silent tomb.
Short services were conducted at the cemetery by Rev. Fred Sheldon, of Murray, as Rev. Collins was bedfast. The bereaved family have the blessed assurance that all is well with her soul, and that if faithful to the end they may all meet her in Heaven.
