Chico Enterprise-Record, Friday, September 10, 1965:

"Jasper C. Allspaugh. Jasper Claude Allspaugh died last night at his home on Jones Avenue, Durham, of a heart attack. He was a retired carpenter.

"He was born May 27, 1901, in Carlyle, Ill. He was reared in Kansas and Oklahoma. In 1932 he and Pearl Elizabeth Follin were married at Erie, Kan. After their marriage they moved to the Los Angeles area, in 1933 to Sacramento, and in 1934 to Durham. He belonged to Local 2043, Golden Empire District of Carpenters and was active in Boy Scouts in Durham.

"Survivors in addition to his widow, Pearl, are four sons, J. C. and Gary of Chico; Lawrence of Fremont; and Gene of Durham; two daughters, Mrs. Naoma Bonds of Chico, and Mrs. June Clifton of Fairfield; his mother, Mrs. Louticia Follin [sic] of Durham; six sisters, Mrs. Olie King of Durham; Mrs. Elva Griffin of Oroville; Mrs. Thelma Renfroe of Red Bluff; Mrs. Kate Heidrich of Colorado; Mrs. Jennie Sixkiller or Oklahoma; and Mrs. Glena Blair of Madera, and 11 grandchildren.

"Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. in the Timmons-Van Hook Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Glen Oaks Memorial Park."
