He was born May 27, 1924, in Cuming County. He was a graduate of Guardian Angels School in West Point. He married Lorraine Throener April 29, 1948, in Monterey. He worked for Iowa Beef Processing in West Point in the sanitation department for 23 years, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include: his wife; two sons, Eugene (Nancy) Luebbert of Knoxville, Iowa, and Duane (Elizabeth) Luebbert of Omaha; two sisters, Wilma Gentrup of West Point and Elsie Popken of Fremont; two brothers, Fred and Bernard, both of West Point, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons and a brother.
The Rev. Mark McKercher will officiate. Burial in St. Michael's Cemetery in West Point.
