PLAINS-Memorial services for Robert Jay "Rob" Lacy, 88, of Plains were held Monday, Dec. 19, at United Methodist Church in Plains with the Rev. Constance Sidebottom officiating.
Mr. Lacy died of natural causes Thursday, Dec. 15, 1994, at Clark Fork Valley Hospital in Plains.
He was born Jan. 26, 1906, at Harrison, Neb., the son of Henry Herbert and Bertha (Dieckman) Lacy. He lived in Nebraska and Wyoming before moving to Montana in 1934 and settling at Trout Creek where he was a farmer.
Aug. 16, 1950, Robert and Alice Haase Riley were married at Plains. The couple moved from Trout Creek to Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1958, where they lived and raised their family until moving to Plains in 1980.
Rob was a member of the United Methodist Church of Plains and the Plains-Paradise Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Lacy, of the family home at Plains; a son and daughter-in-law, William Jay Lacy and Elaine Turnbull of Plains; three stepchildren, Darrell Riley and wife, Alice of Tenio, Wash.; Richard Riley and wife, Sandy, Longview, Wash.; and Barbara Riley, Spokane, Wash.; and Alvin Lacey, Springfield, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews, including Eileen Garrison, and Glenn "Bud" Lacy and wife, Jeanie, all of Thompson Falls; and Wayne Lacy and wife Maryilyn, of Wasilla, Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Bertha Lacy; and a brother, Herbert Lacy Jr.
Memorials were suggested to the Plains-Paradise Senior Citizens Center.
Coffelt-Bunch Funeral Service of Plains was in charge of arrangements.
