Victim of the TWA 800 plane crash. She was traveling along with her parents Eugene and Etta and sister Candance to Paris. They were planning on going on a tour of Italy before attending a friend's bat mitzvah in Jerusalem.
She was pretty, bright and enchanting, was filled with excitement and love. She looked forward to beginning her sophomore year at Steven S. Wise High School and was already counting the days in eager anticipation of obtaining her driver's license. An avid and talented swimmer and softball player, Jamie enjoyed participating and competing in both activities. Jamie often stated that she was a 23 year old trapped in a 15 year old body. She was a boundless source of energy, optimism and joy. A teenager that continuously asked why and pushed all boundries. At such a young age, she made a big impression on all who knew her.
The loss of the Silverman family leaves a void in the lives of the many people they touched. Gene, Etta, Candace and Jamie are survived and mourned by Gene's brother, Ronald Silverman of Atlantic city, NJ; Etta's father, Andrew Buckler of Upper Marlboro, MD; her five brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Kay, Bill and Elena, Jim and Fran, Lewis and Shiley, Ray and Ann Marie, special nieces Becky, Brenda, Carrie; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives; and many firends and associates.
