Charles Francis Ball, 56, husband of Mrs. Sue Wilkerson Ball and son of the late John Wesley and Mrs. Mary Bowen Ball, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 4:45 a.m.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. R.D. Garrell, Mrs. E.E. Davis, Mrs. D.D. Kelley and Miss Peggy Ball, all of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Arch Moore, of Garner, N.C., Mrs. Lester Winstead of Roxboro, N.C., and Mrs. Hubert Tilley of Bahama, N.C.; four brothers, Rufus Ball and Clarence Ball, both of Durham, N.C., Eugene Ball, of Oxford, N.C., and Sterling Ball, of Raleigh, N.C. and four grandchildren.
Mr. Ball was a native of Durham, N.C., and had been a resident of this area for 14 years, residing at 3729 Travillian Street. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home today at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
