BRECHTEL - Charles Edward Brechtel of 3895 Hilyard Street, Eugene, passed away June 28, 1977, at the age of 76. He was born July 6, 1900 in Honey Creek, Iowa and was married July 6, 1968 in Eugene to Neomia Liles. He is survived by 5 step-children, Charles V. Liles of Salem, Cecil Scott of Sherwood, Mrs. Lou Freeman of Reno, Nevada, Viola Cowings of Burns, and Bob Scott of Georgia. 1 brother Harry Brechtel of Seattle. Numerous nieces and nephews. His wife Neomia passed away July 4, 1977 and a joint funeral service will be Thursday, July 7, 1977 at 10:30 a.m. in the CHAPEL OF MEMORIES FUNERAL HOME, 3745 West 11th Avenue, Eugene, with Reverend Michael Hilty of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment in Belcrest Memorial Cemetery, Salem. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Oregon Heart Association or to Cancer Research at the U of O Medical School through the Chapel.
