Our special husband, dad, grandpa, brother and friend, Oral Joseph Kemp, died June 8, 1991 at home of cancer.
Born October 27, 1927 in Garland, Utah to Edgar Alonzo and Sarah Jane Tims Kemp. Married Evelyn Barns October 2, 1949 in Tremonton; solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 9, 1959. Retired from Kennecott Refinery in 1979. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing with his brothers. He loved to tinker on vehicles.
Survived by his wife, Magna; children, Oral J. (Joe) and Heidi, Magna; Rex V. and Stephenie, Loralie and Vernon Rigby, all West Valley City; Karma and Kerry Griguhn, American Fork; Bette Jo and B.J. Lang, Taylorsville; 11 grandchildren; brothers and sister, Alanzo, Salt Lake; Dale, Murray; Thomas, West Valley; Lila Abel, Smithfield.
Funeral services Wednesday, 12 noon, Lakeridge 4th Ward, 3131 South 7700 West, Magna. Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, and Wednesday at the church, 11-11:45 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
