Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend, Norma Layton Vickers, 77, passed away of natural causes due to age, Friday, August 20, 2010 in American Fork, Utah.

Norma was born on March 11, 1933 in Ogden, Utah, to Clarence Gill and Cynthia Barton Layton. She married Tarrant Owen Vickers Jr. on June 8, 1951. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1964. For the past 4 years Norma resided in American Fork. She was a member of the American Fork 38th Branch. Prior to moving to American Fork she was a member of the Centerville 3rd Ward for almost 30 years. Norma dedicated her life to her family as a woman of great strength and love. Her grandchildren were the source of her greatest joy.

She is survived by her three children Vickie Lynn (Brian) Lee, Billy Jack (Anita) Vickers, Mark Allen (DeAnne) Vickers; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grand-children. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Layton Wright and Carol Layton Browning. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Richard Layton, and her sisters Bernice Layton Weeks and Lorraine Layton Halford.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday August 25, 2010 at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where a visitation will be held Tuesday August 24 from 6-8 pm and 10-10:45 prior to the services. Interment Kaysville Cemetery.
