He was born in South Korea. He was one of the adopted children of Marceline Mae Baldwin Jones and Rev. James Warren Jones. He lived in Redwood Valley, California 95470 before he moved to Jonestown, Guyana where he lived in Cottage 27. He was skilled as a mechanic. He entered Guyana on March 29, 1977. He was on Jonestown Security. Siblings by adoption include Agnes Paulette Jones (1943-1978); Stephan Gandhi Jones(Born 1959); Jimmy Jones, Jr. aka James Warren Jones, Jr.(born 1960); and Timothy Tupper aka Timothy Glenn Tupper Jones, Tim "Day" Jones (1959-1978). Partner of Terry Carter Jones, aka Mary Theresa Carter, Mary Theresa Jones, Terry Carter Jones (died November 18, 1978). Father of Chaeoke Warren Jones who also died on November 18, 1978. His two brothers, Stephan and Jim Jr. survived because they were in Georgetown, Guyana playing on the Jonestown Basketball team. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Timothy James Carter and Michael Carter.
