From the Windom Reporter obituary dated March 2, 1923:

"Lars Peter Anderson was born April 1, 1872 at Holanstrup, Denmark. He was baptized and confirmed in the Danish Lutheran Church at that place. In 1890 he came to Clay County, Iowa, where he was engaged in farming until 1901 when he moved to Cottonwood County, Minnesota, afterwards buying a farm in Christiana Township, Jackson County, where he has lived since. January 2, 1919 he was united in marriage to Miss Lena Wienes (sic: Wiens) of that county. To this union were born two children. For the past year his health has been failing him. Several days before his death he took the flu, dying on the morning of February 21, 1923 at the age of 50 years, 10 months, and 20 days.

He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, two children, Christine age 3 and Lorene age 21 months, two brothers, Chris Anderson of Royal, Iowa and Jens Anderson of Denmark and two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Jensen and Mrs. Anna Olsen both of Denmark."

From the Cottonwood County Citizen obituary Feb, 28, 1923:

" Lars Anderson, a well known farmer residing southeast of Windom, died suddenly at his home last Wednesday forenoon, the cause of death being heart trouble. His death came as a shock to all his friends, who had little thought that Mr. Anderson was as serious as he really was. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from the Windom Evan. Lutheran church in this place, conducted by Rev. Knutson, formerly of Jackson."
