Evander was my g.g.gr.father, he was born and raised in Tipton Co. TN. His parents were Neill McNair and Flora McNeill, they migrated to Tipton Co. TN in the 1830s. Evander married Mary Jane McBride on the 27 Nov. 1860 in Tipton Co. TN. They had 8 children and Mary Jane died in 1882 most likely from having too many children too fast. Evander was a large land owner in Tipton Co. TN in the area of Hwy. 51 close to the Shelby Co. TN line. Evander was murdered by his wife's youngest brother John G.
