POSEYVILLE, Ind. — Albert E. Rose, 90, passed away Thursday August 19, at New Harmonie Healthcare.
He was born in Griffin, on November 5, 1919 to the late Frank and Amanda (Mobley) Rose.
Albert retired from the Rogers Group after working many years for Gibson County Sand and Gravel. He worked ten years for the North Posey School District and was also a farmer. He served in United States Army, and was a member of the South Gibson Apostolic Chapel. Albert was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. He also loved to hunt and fish.
Albert was preceded in death by parents; wife, Nellie M. Rose; sisters, Lillian Rose and Charlotte Farrar; and brothers, James, Gus and Vince. He is survived by two daughters, Mona Wood of Cynthiana and Patricia Moreland of Greenwood,; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and a sister Madeline Rose of Owensville.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2010, at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville, David Goldman officiating with visitation 9 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial is in the Poseyville Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Post # 278.
