William C.C. Allison was born in Beaver county, Pennsylvania, April 25, 1845, died in Gentry County, April 1, 1914, aged 68 years, 11 months and 6 days. With his parents he moved to Ohio in 1858. Two years later, in 1860, they moved to Illinois. In 1863 he enlisted in the Voluntary Company "A" 77 Illinois Infantry, and served until the close of the war in 1865. He came to Missouri in the spring of 1866 and settled in DeKalb county. He was a member of the G. A. R. Post, No. 218 of Fairport . He was converted in Feb 1870 , and united with the United Brethern church at Hebron schoolhouse in DeKalb county. He was united in marriage to Florence Redman, Sept 8, 1888. To this union was born 4 children. One died in infancy. Those living are Beva Clarke, Woodville and Detmer, all of Gentry county. He also leaves four brothers and one sister, Thomas J. of Pattonsburg; George H. Silvey, Kas: Edwin R. Moreland, Okla; Benjamin J., Reno County Kansas, and Christiana Hall of Blue Jacket, Okla. He moved to Gentry county in 1900, Changed his membership to the M. E. church at Mt Tafer, in 1901. He lived a faithful Christian life until his death. He was a devoted husband and kind father.
