John Henry Towns was the son of Robert Towns and Sarah Hoopengardner. He married Jane Anglin.

John and Jane were also the parents of the following children that I have not been able to find further records for:

*Robert Towns was listed as 2 years old in the 1860 census for Etna, Indiana. Online family trees have him passing in 1866, but none with sources listed.

*Alece (or Alice E) Towns was listed as 1 year old in the 1870 census for Lafayette, Nebraska. I did not find her anywhere else.
