Charles Henry Post was the son of John Beaver Post and Caroline "Carrie" E. Woodall Post. He was born at Woodall at the old Post Place (a log cabin). He married Mary "Myrle" Claypool in Oct. 1931. He was a blacksmith and welder who served his country in WWI, Oklahoma, Pvt., Base Hospital 140.

Charles and Myrle had two adopted children: Ben and Nona; they also had three foster children: Loretta, Harold, and Butch Ballard.

His brothers and sisters include: William T. Post, Andrew "Andy" Post, Margaret Post Anderson, Daniel D. "Pat" Post(all buried in Price Cemetery, Tahlequah, OK); and Maud Adelaide Post Steeley (buried in Bartlesville, OK).
