From newspaper clipping dated January 27, 1938:

Harley J. Kethcum was born November 22, 1868 at Jackson, Michigan, and died January 19, 1938 at Ainsworth, Nebraska, aged 69 years 1 month and 28 days.

His early wife was spent in Michigan. When a young man he came west and located in eastern Nebraska. On January 9, 1895 he was united in marriage with Miss Clara Dewey. To this union was born two children Clifford V. and Mildred Mae.

Early in life he was converted and united with the Baptist Church and later transferred his membership to the M.E. Church of Springview, NE.

He has been a resident of Keya Paha County for twenty-four years.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his widow; his son Clifford and family of Long Pine, Nebraska; his daughter Mrs. Mildred Lee and family of Springview, Nebraska; four brothers; one sister; and a host of friends.
