Helen was the daughter of Josef KONOPACKI and Franciszka Kluczykowski.

Her first marriage was to Mr. C.O. Brown. Not much is known about him.

Her second marriage was to Oliver Wesley Bettenhausen on 24 Jul 1946, in Wishek, ND. When Helen married Oliver he had a total of 17 children from two previous marriages. Helen never had any children of her own, but she ended up being a great mother none the less.

Helen lived a full and sometimes wild life. Within the family it was well known that she could out cuss, out smoke and out drink most men. Rest in peace dear lady.

Mrs. Helen Bettenhausen

Word has been received here of the death of Mrs.Helen Brown Bettenhausen, of Wishek, ND, by her brother, Peter F. Konopacky, 332 South Fremont street. Another brother, Joseph N. Konopacky, resides at 1202 Ellis street.

The Peter Konopacky family left this morning for Wishek to attend the funeral services, which will be held Thursday morning.

Mrs. Bettenhausen formerly made her home with the Peter Konopacky family for several years.
