Edwin Rand Elliott, Route 3, Hannibal, died at 4:15 a.m. today in Levering Hospital. For 25 years, he owned and operated a service station at Hilltop Inn on Highway MM, west of Hannibal. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Chapel. Rev. William J. Miller will officiate and burial will be in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday. Mr. Elliott was born March 18, 1886 in Jacksonville, Mo., a son of the late William Joseph and Evaline Elliott. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church. He served with the U.S. Army, having enlisted in 1909 and received his discharge in 1912. Mr. Elliott served in the Phillippines for two years. His wife, the former Maude Tuley, preceded him in death March 20, 1963. Mr. Elliott is survived by a sister, Mrs. Irene Warren of Jacksonville and two nieces, Mrs. John Ward of Hannibal and Mrs. Tarson Coon of Jacksonville.
