Samuel Behn was born November 12, 1898 in Hempstead, TX, the 11th of 12 children born to the union of John Mosley Behn, Sr. and Nancy Hanks Bramlett Behn.

Preceding him in death was his father, John Mosley Behn, Sr. and one brother, Charlie.

Survivors include his mother, Nancy Behn of Clarksville, TX; ten brothers: George W., Arthur Frederick, Henry, J.E., (Prince) Albert, John Mosley, Jr., Thomas W., Leroy (Luraine), General Eckie and Mosley Leonard; four sisters: Mattie Behn Jones, Addie Behn Jones, Julia Barbara Behn Reid and Alverta Behn Watkins.

Burial arrangements entrusted to the Clarksville Undertaking Company, Clarksville, TX.
