Carl Hasper and Sophia Uechithausen came to America Nov. 4, 1867 into New York.
Carl and Sophia married six days later on Nov. 10, 1867 at First German Presbyterian Church in New York.
They lived in Manitowoc, Wisconsin where he owned his own business. He was a carpenter and made furniture. Carl and Sophia had six children, their first born son died at birth. Two daughters both died at age 20 from tuberculosis. And a son age 9, died from meningitis as did Carl at the age of 36.

Death of CARL HASPER today at 5am after a long, heavy illness.
Burial will take place Sat. afternoon at 2:00.
