MANKATO — Ries, Michael William, age 15, of Mankato, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on August 22, 2010. He was a student at Mankato West High School. Michael was active in football, basketball, baseball and loved playing the saxophone in concert band and jazz band. He was a member of Mankato Children's Chorus and of the Mankato Church of Christ.
He is survived by his parents, Barry and Leah; sister, Carissa; grandparents, Clyde and Glenda Schinnerer; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
VISITATION will be THURSDAY, Aug. 26th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and CELEBRATION OF LIFE on FRIDAY, Aug. 27th at 10:00 a.m., with visitation from 9–10 a.m., all at CHRIST THE KING LUTHERAN CHURCH, 222 Pfau Street, Mankato, MN 56001. Interment Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato, MN.
A special thanks goes to Christ the King for the use of their facility.
There's no place on earth that Michael would rather be than at Flaming Pine Youth Camp with all his christian friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Flaming Pine Youth Camp, (www.fpyc.org)
