Thomas G. Pitcock Jr., age 74 of Sheridan, went to be with the Lord, Friday, August 20, 2010 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was born April 11, 1936 in Mangum, Oklahoma to the late Thomas G. Pitcock Sr. and Viola Kidwell Pitcock. Mr. Pitcock was a retired store manager for Woolco Stores and was a member of the Sheridan Church of Christ. He married his wife, Barbara A. Pitcock on May 5th 1958.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Pitcock of Sheridan; children, Marcus Thomas Pitcock of Sheridan and Cherri Kae Pitcock Byford of Waldron; one brother, Hoover Pitcock of Grandbury, Texas; three sisters, Ollie Thomas Pitcock and Frankie Jean Pitcock of Altus, Oklahoma and Edith Pitcock Osborn of Smyre, Texas; three grandchildren, Emily Michelle Byford, Allison Victoria Pitcock, and Sara Christine Byford.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the Sheridan Church of Christ with Brother Ken Bolden and Brother Kenneth Benton officiating. Visitation will be Monday August 23, 2010 from 6 – 8 P.M. and Tuesday, 10 – 11 A.M. prior to service. Interment will be on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
