Elizabeth Maria Cousins was born June 3, 1863, in Clinton county, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Dawson Cousins. She was married to Thomas W. Dannatt, Oct. 31, 1882, in Elvira. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Clinton.

Mrs. Dannatt passed away in her home at 446 3rd Ave. N. in Clinton on June 21, 1960 after two years of failing health.

Survivors included three daughters, Grace and Elsie Dannatt, of Clinton, and Mrs. Ruth Haring, Camanche; four sons, Rolla, Herman, Carl and William, of Clinton; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, one son, two grandchildren and 12 brother and sisters.
