After the war, he married Martha Kinard in Wrightsville, York County, and fathered Cora Elizabeth (b. @1868), Elizabeth (b. 05/??/69), Carrie Emma (b. @1876), Charles E. (b. 01/12/79), Helen Grace (b. 08/29/80 - married Charles Williams), William Henry (b. 10/05/82), Ira Chester (b. 06/26/86), and Roy Jordy (b. 03/02/89). Cause of his death is listed as "acute gastro-enteritis."
