Norwood Emile Meiners, 55, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010.
He was the beloved son of Gloria Taconi Meiners and the late Henry W. Meiners Jr.; brother of Sondra Johnson and spouse Victor O. Johnson; longtime companion of Sara Laurence; and uncle of Jason and Jeffrey Johnson.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Mandeville. He was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and a medical researcher for Tulane University. He was a master gardener, artist and rendezvous enthusiast.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. today at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St., Mandeville. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment is in Mandeville Cemetery. E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington entrusted with the arrangements.
