Emma T Hostetler nee Gocken was born in Saunders County, Nebraska to Frederick Bruno Gocken and Antonia Margreta Buns.

At the time of her death she was married to Warren Oswald Hostetler. She had been ill for several months and was initially at the Larimer County Hospital. She was transferred to the Colorado General Hospital in Denver on August 28 where she passed away on September 5.

She was survived by 4 sisters: Ida (Anton) Vanshur, Freda (Jacob) Warner, Sophia (Harry) Scott, and Matilda (James) Johnson, and two brothers, Herman Gocken, and Adolph Gocken aka Con Gerken. She was preceded in death by her mother, Antonia, and an older brother, Friederich.

Emma and Warren were living at 1539 West Mountain Avenue, Fort Collins, CO at the time of her death. Funeral services were held on September 6, 1935 at the Day Funeral home by Reverend R.A. McClure. She is buried in Grandview Cemetery in an unmarked grave.
