Daughter of Emory Briggs & Mary Jane Beemer.
OBITUARY- "West Point Republican", West Point, Cuming Co., Nebraska, July 21, 1905- CALLED HOME- "Died at her home in Boulder, Colorado, Saturday, July 15th, Miss Ada Ruth Briggs, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Emory Briggs, formerly of this city. Several years ago that dread disease tuberculosis became manifest in her system and everything possible was done to check it's inroads without effect. She was bedridden for only five weeks and was cheerful and contented to the last, death coming as quietly as though it was but sleep.
The deceased was born in this city September 3rd, 1890. She resided here with the family until its removal to Colorado several years ago. She was a young girl of fine temperament and lovable disposition. She had a host of friends in this city, who are greatly shocked at her early death.
The profound sympathy of this community is with the family in this trying bereavement.
The remains were brought to the city Monday morning. Funeral services, Tuesday afternoon in Grace Lutheran Church. Revs. Leamer and Lipe officiating. Interment upon the famiy burying plot in Mt. Hope Cemetery."
