Martha Stanfill Lansden passed away after a short illness at age 98. She lived at Cara Vita Village Retirement Community. She was the only child of Dr. and Mrs. Lee Stanfill. She graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She was married to Dick Latta Lansden, an attorney who preceded her in death in 1999. Mrs. Lansden is survived by her daughter Carol Lansden Brewbaker of Montgomery, Alabama and three grandchildren. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Nashville and later joined Trinity Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Grave side services were held at Woodlawn Memorial Park on August 17, 2010 at 2 p.m., where the Reverend S. Michael Howell of Trinity Presbyterian Church officiated. She will be missed greatly.
