Professional Football Player. Born in Paris, Texas on November 20, 1917, he played in the National Football League as a halfback for the Los Angeles Rams, 1946 to 1947. An All-American stand out from Baylor University Texas, he was the first round pick in the 1942 NFL Draft and served as the head track and field coach, also as an assistant football coach at Baylor University in the 1950s. He was inducted into the Baylor Athletic Hall of Fame in 1968 and died in Waco, Texas.
