Mrs. Ida Havens Dies at Age of 82

Mrs. Ida May Havens, 82, of Keystone, widow of Harry G. Havens, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hartford City Hospital, where she had been a patient 12 days.

A native of Delaware County, Mrs. Havens was born May 22, 1882, the daughter of Jesse and Clara Logan Day. Her marriage to Mr. Havens, who died April 25, 1944, took place July 1, 1899 in Jay County.

Mrs. Havens, a resident of Wells County since 1942, was a member of the Christian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Hazel) Towns of Montpelier rural route and Mrs. Harold (Betty) Butler of Keystone; a son, Elbert of Keystone; two brothers, Charles Day of Montpelier and Earl Day of Eldorado, Kan.; a sister, Mrs. Grace Morrical of Montpelier, 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday at Thoma Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Harry Mann officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Montpelier.
