William J. Hicks Sr. 81, of Anniston of Rt. 1 died Monday night at Mary Brandon nursing home after an illness.
He is survived by two daughters Mrs. Oscar Faulkner Jr. and Mrs. Gene Jordan both of Choccolocco; four sons James, William J., Weldon and Maurice three sisters; Mrs. Lucile Faulkner, Mrs. May Turner and Miss Margaret Hicks four brothers; R,L., Nix, Buff and G.G. 24 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Mr. Hicks was a native of Calhoun County and a retired employe of Kirby Steel Company.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Harmony Baptist church with burial in the adjoning cemetery.
