Mary (Molly) Alice Fothergill¸72 of Westport, WA¸passed away on Tuesday¸August 24th, 2010. She ended her battle with Cancer at the Hospice Center in Longview¸WA.
Molly was born July 22, 1938 in Hollywood, CA, the daughter of late Leeland and Anna Kerfoot. She was the oldest of 2 siblings. Her life adventures took her from California to Oklahoma, Oregon, and finally Washington. In Sept 2005, she married Charles Robert Fothergill and moved from Pe Ell to the beach at Westport. Her life has been very full.
In addition to raising eight children, she worked for years in the Nursing profession caring for others. She earned her LPN Degree in 1968 from Blue Mountain College in Pendleton, OR. She earned her Associate Registered Nurse Degree in 1981 from Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA. She worked for several nursing homes and Home Health in the Chehalis- Centralia area before retiring from Providence Hospital in Centralia as an Obstetrical nurse. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, and going to the beach. She also loved watching her favorite teams, the Seahawks and the Mariners (Especially when they played the Baltimore Orioles).
She is survived by her spouse, Charles Robert Fothergill and eight children; Dorothy (Mike) Baker, Mossyrock; Laura (Dennis) Nyberg, Toledo; Debbie (Dave) Hadlock, Avondale, AZ; Butch (Julie) Oster, Pe Ell; Pam (Art) Hammons, Centralia; Donna (Matt) Alden, Pe Ell; Louis (Debbie) Oster, Pe Ell; Kevin Oster, Pe Ell; 21 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Chuck (Gail) Kerfoot, Pasedena MD; numerous neices & nephews; and her favorite cat, Lard.
Molly was preceded in death by former spouses, Gradie John Nailon and Donald Norman Oster.
