Mrs. Babel, 59, Expires
Marine City, Feb. 1 - Mrs. Margaret Babel, 59, wife of Phillip Babel, died of heart disease Sunday night in her home 3 1/2 miles West of Marine City.
Mrs. Babel was stricken just after returning home from a dinner party in the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Babel, Detroit.
Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John Volkman, Jr., Detroit; four sons, Louis Babel, Detroit; Leonard Babe, Roy Babel and Harold Babel, all of Marine City; a sister, Mrs. Barbara Delor, Detroit; a brother Pewter Distelrath, St. Clair; and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Babel was born Dec. 23, 1877, in St. Clair and after marriage in 1895 moved with Mr. Babel to the present Babel home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Holey Cross Roman Catholic church after private services at 9:15 a.m. in the family residence. Rev. Fr. Dennis A, Hayes, pastor, of Holy Cross church, will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery.
