Gertrude S. Wright (formerly Gertrude Martha Stienecker), age 87, of Bethesda, Md., died Thursday, May 16, 1996 in Manor Care Fernwood Nursing Home. She formerly lived for many years on Orchard Lane in Grove City and retired to Sun City Center near Tampa, Fl. where she became an accomplished potter. She received her degree in English education from O.S.U., and a degree in Library Science at Western Reserve University, and a master's degree in Library Science from the University of Tennessee. She worked for more than 20 years as a school librarian in the Columbus area at North and Central High Schools, and Starling Junior High School and at Hamilton Twp. High School, and early in her career in the Bexley Public Library. Survived by son, James (Harriet) Wright, Potomac, Md., granddaughters, Cathy Wright, Cuenca, Ecuador and Karen (Jonathan) Uffelman, New York City. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Schoedinger Norris Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. David Stenner Officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
