Age 84, passed away at the home of his son Paul, 222 Dorchester, Wednesday morning following an illness of several months. Mr. Fleckenstein was born November 11, 1877, in Germany, and was a life resident of this area. He retried from Checker Cab Co. 7 years ago and was a member of St. Joseph Church and the Holy Name Society. Mr. Fleckenstein is survived by his wife, Margaret Laughlin, one daughter Miss Mary Fleckenstein; two sons, Paul and Louis, all of Kalamazoo; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers, Henry Louise, Mrs. Emma Griffin, all of Kalamazoo and Mrs. Sophie Spanke of Three Rivers; several nieces and nephews. Friends are being received ath the Redmond Funeral home, where the Holy Name Society and friends will meet for the rosary Friday evening at 7:30. Services will be held at St. Joseph Church Saturday morning at 9. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
