Matilda R Neuter married Wesley Metz on October 15, 1885, in Auglaize County Ohio.
Mrs. Wesley Metz died at the home of her son, O. F. Metz of Center, following a "lingering illness." She was living with a daughter in Denver, Colorado, and had come to Center to spend the holidays, caught the flu on December 24, and never recovered. Her death certificate says she died from uremia and cardiovascular disease.
Mrs. Metz had lived in Center until a few years before her death. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include 2 sons and 3 daughters: Mrs. J. C. Wilcox of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. J. B. Darden of LaFayette, Alabama, Mrs. Carl McBrayer of Portland, Oregon, R. G. Metz of Denver, and O. F. Metz of Center.
