Harold's occupations were farming, garage owner, teacher, and he worked for Boeing. He was blessed with 14 grandchildren. August 2, 1957 brought tragedy, as his wife died.
One year later he married Gertrude Dill. They lived a wonderful 17 years together before Gertie died in 1975. Harold died 5 years later in Winfield, Kansas. He is buried in Udall Cemetery.
He never met a stranger or anyone he could not talk to. I remember how he loved baseball. We would sit in his rocking chair together, watching a game on the TV and he also had two radios going, so he would not miss the other games!
He always had time for all his children and grandchildren and made all of us feel special.
I will always love you, Grandpa!
