Ashtabula - Lillian G. Armstrong, 79,of 1428 Allen Ave., Ashtabula, died Friday at Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
Born July 11, 1910, in Richmond Center, she was the daughter of Edwin and Adeline "Adda" (Howell) Burchfield.
Mrs. Armstrong, a lifelong area resident, worked at Ward Products in Ashtabula for 12 years. Prior to her retirement in 1972, she was co-owner of The Lantern restaurant in Saybrook Township for 12 years.
Survivors include four sons, Jack V. of Jefferson, Jerry L., and Kenneth R. of Ashtabula and Duane D. of Cleveland; a daughter, Joanne Bressler of North Kingsville; three sisters, Mildred Frazee of Kingsville, Ethel Yates of Ashtabula and Frances Johnson of Saybrook Township; a brother, Ivan Burchfield of Kingsville; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; two brothers, Paul and Merle Burchfield; and two sisters, Mary Hanger and Theda Smith.
Service is 11 a.m. Monday at Jack W. Ross Funeral Home Inc., 526 Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Robert Ernst of Kingsville Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Calling hours are 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
